Ms Booth's Grade 4/5 Class
Hello Families,
We have enjoyed some beautiful weather recently, but it looks like we may see a bit of snow this week. Please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately—with a warm jacket, gloves, and an extra change of clothes in their backpack. Thank you for helping keep everyone comfortable and prepared.
Immigration ProjectEight students have already brought in their family interview sheet, and we have begun creating their Canva projects. I am hoping to receive all completed interviews by the end of this week so students have plenty of time to work.
Final Canva projects are due March 9th.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the project or need support gathering interview information.
Math UpdateWe are beginning our division unit, which is often the most challenging and sometimes the most frustrating unit for students. Extra practice makes a huge difference at home. I highly suggest:
* I have put new math videos up on the parent page.
Valentine's Day Celebration – FridayWe will be celebrating Valentine’s Day this Friday!
Students may bring a small Valentine item to share with the class (examples: cards, individually wrapped candy, stickers, erasers, etc.). If your child chooses to participate, please make sure they bring one for every student. First names are listed on the Parent Page if needed.
In the afternoon, we will watch a video, and students may bring their own small snack bag to enjoy during the movie. I will provide juice boxes.
It is also hot lunch day.
Thanks
Ms Booth

- 10 minutes of division practice nightly using any free math fact app
- One long‑division problem every other day, completed with an adult nearby to help guide the steps

Please make sure your child has a rain coat each day and a change of pants and socks in their backpacks. Staying inside is not an option if the Principal has deemed it an outside day.
